I
was really impressed with your training and nutrition
DVD! You clearly love what you do and have a talent
to convey that knowledge to others! After 16 months
of high volume training I have switched over to
DC training and have seen great results in just
3 weeks. I'm already up 10lbs and hope to gain
another 15 before my show in June.
Take care and God Bless!

I
have purchased and watched countless training
DVD's from the top pro's in bodybuilding and it
seems that some are in the business of producing
the DVD that is the longest even if the substance
is redundent. Project Superheavyweight has several
unique features I liked ... For someone who has
been training since 1981 I have to admit I'm not
impressed easily, but this DVD set would get a
9.5 out of 10 on my scale. I encourage anyone
that is a practitionare of bodybuilding to add
this to their collection. Props on a great product.

Recreational Bodybuilder to Competitive Bodybuilder--An
Interview with Shelby Starnes
There inevitably comes a time in every lifter’s
life when he decides to buy posing trunks, start tanning,
shave all his body hair, and get shredded. Ok, maybe
most lifters won’t enter the world of competitive
bodybuilding, but everyone reading this site still wants
the best information on how to get leaner and more muscular.
I’m here to provide you with better ways to avoid
some of the most common mistakes that recreational or
newly competitive bodybuilders make when trying to look
their best.

Starnes interviews Troponin Athlete Joe Lyons
We’re starting off our Troponin Athlete Interviews
with Joe Lyons, a phenomenal young bodybuilder from
Charleston, South Carolina who recently won the
light heavyweight class as well as the overall at
the Palmetto Cup, and then the following week won
the light heavyweight class at the South Carolina
State Bodybuilding Championships. Both of these
wins gave him national qualification, and this was
the first year he attained such a distinction. It’s
probably no surprise that this was also his first
year with Troponin Nutrition. Let’s get to
know a little about Joe.

extremely evident. Let’s get to know a little

"Nutritional
Leverage" by Shelby Starnes
Virtually every successful bodybuilder or fitness model
has a top-notch nutrition coach in their corner.
Now these coaches aren't your garden-variety nutritionists
that give you a food pyramid and tell you to follow
a "healthy diet." These guys are more like
masters of manipulating nutrient levels to get a specific,
visual, physical effect, and they're employed by even
the most studious physique competitors to take the guesswork
out of their nutrition plan.

A Fat that BURNS Fat?
by Justin Harris
Many forms of fat are “healthy.” Omega 3
fatty acids have been shown to decrease inflammation
and benefit circulatory system health. Omega 6 fatty
acids are actually “inflammatory” fatty
acids, which work to increase the pro-inflammatory leukotriene,
LTB4. LTB4 augments the production of interleukin 1,
which is called the endogenous pyrogen, and establishes
the temperature set point of the body. An increase in
the temperature set point will cause a subsequent increase
in the metabolic rate.
